The Persian War started because the Persians were mad at the Athenians. The Persian war took place in Greece. The Athenians asked the Persians a question and then the Persians told Darius about what the Athenians had told them, and then Darius got angry.

  2. 1.31.12 WHAT WAS THE IMPACT OF THE PERSIAN WARS ON GREECE?

The Persian Wars in the fifth century B.C. had a tremendous impact on ancient Greece. The impact caused Athens to grow more powerful, but Sparta’s jealousy caused Wars between the two city-states. Athens and Sparta grew farther apart. City-states continued to fight, and the Government fell. Then came the golden Age of Athens. The Golden Age was when democracy, theater, sculpting and agriculture developed. Agriculture is farming, like growing crops and cultivating soil. Athens grew more powerful. The Spartans on the other hand, became jealous. This created tension between Sparta and Athens. This led to the Pelopponesian War,(431-404 B.C.) the war between Sparta and Athens.

The Greeks didn’t like the Persians because the Persians were trying to tax them. Because the Greeks didn’t like them, they started a war. The Greeks were winning at first, but it took twenty years to really defeat the Persians. Athens and Sparta were rivals at first, but then they had to work together to fight the Persians. At the end of the war, there was a bloody sea battle and Athens got burned up, but they still beat the Persians by working together.

This led to the Peloponnesian war. The government fell and cites were destroyed. The culture though was still alive, beautiful and creative.

  6. The Persian Wars in the late 5th Century B.C. had a major impact on Ancient Greece Persia just wanted more and more land, but getting the land and ruling it was a challenge. They invaded every country that they were going to attack. When they decided that they wanted to rule all of Greece, the Persians had already rules smaller city-states and wanted to rule more. They Greeks wanted to keep their country away from getting even close to being ruled by the Persians. They came very close to being rule by them. The two Greek city-states Athens and Sparta weren’t enemies at the time but the country wasn’t very unified. Athens and Sparta had to come together to fight the Persians. Athens had a very good navy, and Sparta had a very good Army. But the only reason that Persian was attacking was because they wanted more and more land. The Persians thought they the Greeks were very weak so they were an easy target. But Greece didn’t let that happen, they won over the powerful Persian Empire.

  7. These are the impacts on Greece after the Persian wars. One impact was the war taught Greeks a little bit of unity between city states. This is important because other empires were on the rise.It also taught Greece that other empires were rising and could defeat them. This is important because its making them realize whats happening .Another impact is it taught Greeks they were strong as one empire. This is important because they may want to become one empire.Another impact is it taught them how to work together to defeat an enemy. This is important because alot of empires want to take Greece down. The last and biggest impact is when they won they went back to battling each other and weakening themselves while other empires were joining together and becoming stronger. This is a big impact because it eventually makes it so they don't want to join forces and the Greece city states are defeated. This is big because not joining forces ends up coming back to get them.

  10. The Persian war in the late fifth century B.C. had a tremendous impact on Ancient Greece. The Athenian army was very small but they have won the Battle of the Marathon in 491-490 B.C.. If Athens lost the battle, the Greeks would eventually come under control of the Persians and all the culture and accomplishments of the Greeks would probably not have taken the form they did. The Government fell, trade dropped, and city states still fought each other. The Ionian Revolt was the first Persian war, it took place for about a decade from 499 B.C.-488 B.C.. It also forced the Greek city-states to unite and work together. The Greeks rebuilt Athens and entered into a period of great culture achievements. Since there was so many Persian wars and there was so many impacts it is hard to fit it into one paragraph.

  11. In the Persian War Athens and Spartens had to work together to defeat the Persians. After the Athens and Spartens defeated the Persains, Athens and Spartens started to fight and began to hate each other. When the to states began to fight they ended up in a war themselves. When the Persians attacked this put both Athens and Sparta in danger that is why these to city states came together, put aside their differences, and helped defeat the Persians so their loved ones could be safe. Athens and Sparta continued to hate each other, this changed history!

  12. There were many impacts that happened to Greece. One of those impacts was the battle of Marathon that the Greeks won which gave them hope. Another impact was when the battle of Salamis happened which made Greeks feel power because Xerxes fled from the Greeks. This made Greeks powerful. But the most powerful was Athens. Athenians started to gain more land. there land went far, all the way to Sicily. This made the Spartans feel threatened. This is how the Peloponnesian war start. The winning fell to the Athenians. The impact of the war made Greece weak. Eventually they crumbled and became apart of Rome.
